Linux has been around forever. Don't know why they don't have compatible software yet. Lots of Mac users out there. I hate the idea of having to buy a damn

IKR!

I was planning on running UpRev via my windows 7 virtual machine on my MacBook but a windows tablet would be handier than my 17" MacBook Pro. Especially considering you can get one for a few hundred.

Also I have another use for a windows tablet. I want a tablet I can watch a movie or tv show on it with having to spend time converting and syncing the file like I have to do with my iPad. I love my iPad Mini but when you start sharing media on a ship (my Navy brethren know what I’m talking about ) it is a PITA.

Yeah man. Been there with that **** before. Sucks. I actually had two windows based laptops while I was in the navy. Both broke inside of a year. Bought my MacBook Pro in 2011 and it still works just fine. I'll take the PITA approach and having reliability over any windows based pile of ****. Not trying to make this a Mac vs PC debate. Just saying that, well, Mac is definitely better. Lol!
