Thanks man, you had your car aligned that morning right? I'm curious if you gave them specific specs for your settings or not. I am about to take my car up to them soon I think, and I have JIC camber arms, tension rods, and inner tie rods and wanted an exact set-up. I'm sure they could do it, that lift was so sick!

Yeah that was me. I gave them the sheet from my last alignment and told them to try and match that. It wasn't exactly the same, but close enough. I'd probably need a camber kit to get it just right though. I'm sure if you ask them they will try to do the exact set-up you want.

Amazing shots  Repped. Feeling bummed I missed it, looks like a good time was had. It also looks like there was barely any rain.

Yay, a shot of the good side of my car  :roflpuke2:

I've peeled off the plasti dip on my door handles and am going to re-do them sometime later. My cousin wants to plasti dip his wheels bronze/gold and I'll probably just do my door handles on the same day.

They have gold/bronze plastidip?

I might do that to the S2K to see if I really want to have the wheels refinished.

eastwest2300 03-27-2012 05:21 PM

Im gonna do my rims, it'd be nice to have Blades around to give me a helping hand or atleast some advice.

Yeah they have a gold metalizer that you spray over a base coat of black. I'll post a youtube video of it when I get home from work. It's the same thing I used for my wheels, except I used the silver metalizer. If you put down a thin layer of the gold, it gives the wheel a bronzish look. The more coats of gold you spray on it, the more gold it gets.

As long as it's not in the parking lot while it's raining :bowrofl:

Just watch the youtube vid I'm gonna post later. It shows you how to do it and it's how I learned to do mine.

They sell a bunch of colors on their website. I was thinking about doing my wheels bright green while I wait for my new wheels

Check out this website for more cool plasti dip related stuff. They have a bunch of different colors, kits, and accessories available as well as galleries and how-to videos like the one above. This is where I ordered all my stuff from.

That's pretty interesting. I'd be concerned with how it reacts to brake dust, heat, and the elements over time, though.

m4a1mustang 03-27-2012 05:41 PM

Damn the red plasti dip looks pretty interesting.

I kinda want the red GT500 stripes, so Plasti-dip would help me test it out and see if I actually want them.

Def. from what I saw, it's very bright

m4a1mustang 03-27-2012 05:50 PM

I'll have to pick some up and play around with it. The GT500 stripes have a black pinstripe around the red main one, so I figure I could probably lay down a black base coat then spray red with maybe 1/4" black on either side uncovered.

That would probably work.

eastwest2300 03-28-2012 02:52 AM

Yup, Im leaning towards doing the entire rim in plastidip, I think It'll come out fantastic.
