MIR Track Rental 2/18/12
 

Hey guys,

Just looking to spread the word about a track day coming up in about a weeks time at M.I.R. This event was originally organized by the guys on 6speedonline, but it is open to anyone who would like to participate, or come as a spectator. I'll be there getting photos and video, anyone else who has a free Saturday is more than welcome to come. So far there are over 50 cars signed up to run, but there will probably be even more as we get closer. Here's the post from over on NAGTROC:


It's that time of year again! I have rented MIR Saturday Feb 18th. Yes thats SATURDAY rental for all those people that always complain about rentals being on weekdays. Since I rent the track out regularly we get a special rate of $100/car! Everyone else that rents the track offseason on a weekend pays $200/car Posted Image One lane will be for drag radial and slicks only. The other lane is for street tires. MIR has been under construction and we will be the first ones to run on it!

There's some people I know personally who are going to be running very, VERY fast cars, so it should be pretty exciting. As far as I know, it's free for spectators, so if you're available on the 18th, feel free to drop by! There is a chance you might have to throw out $10 or something to watch, so I'd suggest bringing some cash along just in case.

Is rather race the 5.0 just to see how I stack up against it. Beating the s2k in a straight line wouldn't prove anything. If it was Dan's s2k though, things would be waaaaaayyyyyy different. :icon17:

Well you'd be up against the 5.0 on ET Streets so it wouldn't be much to see.

Yeah but then you can take them off the 5.0 and put them on my Z for a few runs. Not a race really, more just a comparison of times. God I hope I beat my old time whenever we go. It would be such a huge disappointment to spend all that time and money to have another failure. Pretty much all or nothing for me on this one.

Yeah maybe. Your car might not be able to get the ET Streets to move, though. You know how yours is when you add mods. :icon17:
