I think the shop just goofed when they installed them. Hopefully someone can show me what I need to do to fix it at the next columbia meet

They're PCV hoses, they alleviate crankcase pressure (from the valve cover) and recirculates back into the intake system

yeah that's why you see guys with FI set ups running high boost typically run a catch can set up, their intake or i/c piping isn't sucking in oil, and the catch can can somewhat "catch" some of that before it enters through your intakes


here's a snap shot of one we cnc'd at the shop for a GT-R. Except ours you don't need to dump out or hand drain, it dumps back into the block via the very last hose on the bottom

I'm cool with like... Swapping out LEDs, working on stereos/wiring and debadging etc. Anything and I mean ANYTHING mechanical makes me break out in a cold sweat. Even if it's just a dumb hose/hose clamp.

a little catch can 101 for you guys;

Seperating the air and oil

The idea is to trap the oil vapors and let them condensate and drain out, while keeping the air moving through - CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) testing and similation helped shape the the billet pieces and the unique geometry inside.
