The little carbon "stick" nismo knob was light and made it easy for me to miss when shifting rapidly because I have big hands and the cylindrical shape made it hard for me to get a good grip on it leading to misses now and then esp in the middle of the gearbox.

The new knob is heavier and fits in the palm of my hand which makes my life easier.

Was only talking about rapid shifting in uh...certain situations. Either knob would be fine for just driving around but let's say hypothetically you wanted to march through your gears as quickly as possible because rapid acceleration was desired. The heavier knob is better (at least for me)
