I don't have a socket set! Instead of buying one I can drive 5 mins to my cousin's house and just use his and his garage!

USE YOUR BEAR HANDS THEN.

And no, I spelled that exactly how I intended it....you need to use the hands of a large, furry animal to loosen the bolts instead of a socket set.

And FWIW, if you do it outside in a parking lot, you're a real man. Needing a warm, comfy garage? Well, you may as well sit down on the toilet...

You get me a trained bear and I will get started :icon17:

The bumper was supposed to be delivered today, but UPS had a delivery exception. Something about the apt # not being listed correctly. Had to contact the seller and have him contact UPS to get it fixed. Why the fvck didn't they realize this when they first shipped it instead of when they're delivering it?!?!?!? Anyways, it should be here tomorrow I guess.

eastwest2300 01-24-2012 10:48 PM

Get that damn thing replaced, dude!:icon17:

I ordered something and had the same issue while I was in back in Buffalo, this November. Except I didn't notice until 2 weeks or so after it was supposed to get there (it ended up showing up a whole month earlier than expected). It ended up sitting at UPS for a solid week before they sent it back to the company. Thankfully the company got in touch with me, because the item was extremely rare and kinda irreplaceable...

It might not be the first rule of being a man but its close to the top. Every man should own their own socket wrench set metric and english, pair of pliers, hammer, and various screwdrivers...at minimum!! and that goes double for an engineer!!!!! :shakes head:

You can get a basic kit of essentials really cheap.

Seriously. You can pick up a 100pc Craftsman set at Sears for like 40-50 bucks.

b1adesofcha0s 01-25-2012 08:52 AM

Have everything but the socket/wrench set. I was gonna get one once we get a house so I can actually work on my own car.

Actually now that I think about it, I think my dad did just buy one recently. I'll still have to wait till Saturday though since it will be dark by the time I get home from school/work.

Socket/wrench sets, and a good torque wrench are probably some of the most important tools to have.

I dunno yet

Masa 01-25-2012 04:53 PM

50/50 for me. It's gonna be a nice day to detail the Z and Altima and I don't want to do it Sunday. I supposed I could detail one car after the meet and the other car the next day.

Cristobal09 01-25-2012 05:03 PM

If im going to make the hour and a half trek up there I certainly hope theres going to be more than two or three people showing up :icon17:

Famous Dave's is right across the street.

There's this great burger place right around the corner called The Burger Joint.

ZCarMan 01-25-2012 07:45 PM

Burger Joint sounds good!

I only go there because of the soda machine. The food being good is the secondary reason for me going there. :rofl2:

Yes and yes!

I'm debating whether to install my bumper in the morning and come to the meet a little late or come to the meet on time and install my bumper afterwards.

Dude it's seriously a piece of cake. 66E to 495N / 95N are the main roads.

Getting back is the PITA. Like I said, you might want to consider heading west then coming down 15 South to Gainesville.
