FI... the drone. Never, ever get an exhaust that drones regardless of how good it sounds.

Hello, Steve.

Why do you say such hurtful things Steve?

These things you say hurt my feelings Steve.

Why would you hurt my feelings Steve?

Steve...

Cristobal09 01-07-2013 08:01 AM

I have the invidia gemini.

No drone. Its definitely "quieter" than all of the other catbacks out there but is the most liveable and I think it sounds great.

Just the CBE or do you have TP/HFC?

Cristobal09 01-07-2013 08:05 AM

Just the catback

Worse, many cameras record audio with varying quality.

So, I dont trust a lot of those unless I hear them personally.

See above.

No drone in my setup. Definitely have the hiss on deceleration, though - but what HFC's DONT have that?

In all honesty, if she wants the best sounding setup and doesn't care too much about performance, a CBE is the easiest bet with minimal work and maximum gain for sound.

4r3s 01-07-2013 09:44 AM

You won't be able to buy Jon's setup anymore. They've versioned it since he bought it, his sits tucked up in the car like the OEM exhaust. What you can buy today is what I have on my car, hangs down like the fast intentions setup. I have the 2.5" true dual and HFC from AAM.

Thanks, man. That's the kind of feedback I'm looking for. It's also why I really, really want some exposure to the exhaust character from inside the cabin at various speeds.

eastwest2300 01-07-2013 10:33 AM

I like my setup, there is a slight hiss with the HFCs on deceleration. I just need to get this damn o2 sensor replaced asap.

I wouldn't say I don't care about performance. Any gains would be nice. I guess I just haven't been focusing on that because, at this point, I'm pretty sure I haven't scratched the surface of what the car can do and I feel a bit silly rabbiting on about gains. I might feel a bit differently once I get a cruise under my belt - we'll see.

Re-quoted, 'cause I'm lazy and don't have anything to add anyway.

Thanks for the list! Now all I have to do is pin each of you down at a meet and harass you into taking me for a ride! I'm small, I'm neat, and I think I'm freakin' hilarious, so you should all be quite accommodating, yes?

Or I can borrow SScottFitz's Megaphone!

This is a Zdayz reference. We were egging him on to go to the exhaust competition making rev noises through the megaphone. He didn't do it, though. Would have been epic.

All right fellas, I just finished fighting with that bad o2 sensor, and by the grace of the good lord, I think its good to go. I replaced the o2 sensor. Im sooo blessed. I cleared the code with a OBD2 scanner, and it DID NOT come back on. Thank the lord.

The car drove great.

Cristobal09 01-08-2013 12:27 PM

Now the big question is, are you happy with the purchase? Did you notice any gains?
