Well now you have something for these terrible snow storms that we have been having this winter, so you can take that out instead of the stang..... ;)

Congrats though and I hope you enjoy the hell out of it!

Its not my cup of tea but its sure better than a Miata!

Yeah really, I have snow tires on the 5.0 right now.

The S2K has some Hankook all seasons on it which I'm going to leave on until it really starts to warm up, then it's getting some summer rubber.

Miata is one of my favorite cars to drive. That car is very well done. Not much power but very connected.

Cristobal09 02-09-2012 07:35 PM

They may be fun to drive, but ive never liked the looks of it. Im not 'hating' on them, I just don't like them. Personal preference.

Left, right... to each his own. ;)

I'm planning on having the car out at the meet next weekend. The only thing that I need to do soon is fix the steering wheel; the top part has worn through in a place (don't worry -- this was deducted from the purchase price!) so it needs to be reupholstered or replaced. Thankfully I can buy a used wheel in good condition for $75.

With the old wheel I am going to cut the bottom and weld in a flat bar, so it's one of those flat-bottomed D shaped steering wheels. I'll probably have it upholstered in alcantara or something. But that will probably be a $300-500 project so it can wait.

Sorry, I'm just used to it on this site. Anyone mentions the little roadster, and people start with the ghey jokes and call it slow.

More Miatas are raced on actual circuits in this country than any other sports car. While much of that is due to cost, the fact remains.

Bang/buck sports car par excellance.

But sure, opinions are opinions. I don't mind.

I might know someone who can do an inexpensive custom interior if you're really interested ;)

 I'll keep that in mind. :)

I was thinking about sending it off to CF Element after seeing some of the stuff they have done with the Z wheels. :yum:

Why do you forget to include the rave reviews the miata gets for its superb door quality on this forum? You sir are a racist!

Yeah, FFX.

I don't think we're going to mod it. At least not mechanically. There is a front lip and carbon fiber splitter that my gf wants to get for it, but I think that might be about it save for fixing up the steering wheel. At least that's the plan... I can't afford to mod three cars at once. :bowrofl:

For a car its size the S has gobs of cargo space. The trunk is seriously 2-3x times bigger than the one on the Z roadster!

Yeah, having a big sedan is nice (even though I get flamed for it non-stop here) :bowrofl:

Awesome! How much Conti DW tires run you for a set? I need new tires for the rear since the Yokohama Sport rubbers bite away quick :icon14:
Could get something All Seasonal tires as Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus or something else less. Yokohama Sport is great tires but threadwear is too low.
