Brady does not have a well rounded offense. Their running game is terrible. He doesn't have the best receiving corps either. Part of what makes them look so good is how well Brady throws it to them. He turns mediocre receivers into all stars, as long as they don't keep dropping the ball (like they did in the SB) :shakes head:

I haven't really watched football long enough to know how good or bad they were back when they were winning Super Bowls. I have seen that receivers are that are great with the Patriots are not so much other places, whether before or after they were on the Pats team. Welker and Moss weren't all that amazing till they joined Brady on the Patriots. Look what happened to Moss after he got kicked off the team. We could definitely use help from another receiver like him who is more motivated to give it his all on every play.

Brady's in a terrific offense. When he got injured years ago, it didn't skip a beat. Matt Cassel looked like the second coming of Unitas. Cassel went to KC and became a nobody. The Pats have not had a real running offense since the beginning of the Belichek era, but they're always high scoring.

Moss was incredible in Minnesota way before he went to the Patriots. He was the best receiver in the league with a young Daunte Culpepper throwing to him.

I'm not saying Brady's bad or even average. He just wouldn't be what he is in any other system. Same argument can be made about Joe Montana.

Peyton Manning, however, was Indy's entire offense, and it showed this year.

You dont wanna keep chad ocho cinco??:roflpuke2:

You think he is going to be any good after his surgery? I don't think any team is going to risk it giving him a big contract.

:werd: Part of that is because the Colts were too stupid to build up the rest of their team. They were just like "We have Manning so we don't need anything else. Kthxbye." That showed a lot this year.

A dead peyton manning would be better than Rex Grossman.

We're talking about the same team that gave Haynesworth a $100 million contract :roflpuke2:

I think a not-his-best Manning is still a lot better than most of the other options out there.

About Ocho Cinco, he might be useful after a full offseason of learning the Pats offense and getting timing right with Brady. He didn't really do anything this year though. Most are saying that he will be cut. I would love to see the Patriots do something crazy and just throw loads of money to land Calvin Johnson (who is become a FA I believe). Our offense would be pretty much unstoppable if that were to happen. I know it's not going to happen though.

Us supermodels think alike

IMO Brady was on point at the end of the game. He made passes right into the receivers hands and they were passes they would have caught like 99% of the time. This was just that 1%. :shakes head:

If you really want the 'Skins to do better......rename the team.....and put them in a new city.....say.....Cheyenne, Wyoming. Wait, that's still in the US. How 'bout Afghanistan? We can name them the "Talibans".

So.... since my Yokohama's only have 9000 miles on them, should I move my 245/45/18 rear tires to the front and pick up a set of 275/40/18's? It would be cheaper than buying a set of four Michel Pilot Super Sports - I want to hold off on that till all four Yoko's are worn.

Oh, and someone can have the 225/50/18's if/when I do swap them out.

m4a1mustang 02-08-2012 10:13 AM

I'd just get the PSS.

Masa 02-08-2012 10:17 AM

Yeah I really want to but I can't justify wasting good tires. May have to start driving like a BAWS asshat just so I can wear them down quicker so I don't feel bad about wasting them lol.

I think that would work. That way the rears and fronts will need replacement at the same time. I think when I get my next set of tires, I will go for summer tires and hope we don't get a crazy blizzard-filled winter. My front and rear tires will probably be replaced like 15k miles apart.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, the fronts would have 9k on them and the rears would be brand new and I could replace all four of them when the rear's need replacement.
