HI,

Does anyone on here own in the columbia area? close to 95 / dobbin road and 175... or 32 and 95 ?

We currently live in rockville... and we might want to move to the columbia area... so just curious if someone on here is in the columbia area and what your thoughts are in general ?

Thanks,

live off of 175... 2 miles north of Ft. Meade.

Generally a good area, though the Arundel Mills mall is a cesspit...

I can remember when Arundel Mills was the premiere shopping place in Glen Burnie. :icon17:

Arundel Mills was great until they put a light rail stop there. Now it's the #1 place for parking lot smash-n-grabs in the state.

fortunately I am looking right near the columbia meet location.

No light rail stop there. But I am sure they get bussed in...

It's nothing to laugh about. It's solid words of wisdom. If you park at Arundel Mills Mall, then don't leave anything of value in plain sight in your car.

But don't worry, I'm sure the crime and desperation will go away when they finish that slots casino

It's a decent area. I live near snowden river parkway. Typical suburban area and shopping outlets. Definitely not as interesting as Rockville to me though.

One time I saw graffiti on a speed limit sign in my neighborhood, and literally the next day it was cleaned up.

Also being centrally located between DC and Bmore definitely has its perks.

I thought that area was suppose to be pretty nice.. I guess not, that sucks.. you cant have nothing nice around here without the fear of someone messing with your stuff.

Keep your car insurance in your thoughts, if you move to PG county, your car insurance will sky rocket, compared to Montgomery county.
