That a lot of hp for the tune, nice mods. As I wonder about Saikou Michi OCC-2 on your mod list, wondering what it do, trap dirts through oil?

It's a dual oil catch can setup with SS lines I am getting ready to install. Saikou Michi makes custom setups for mostly Lotus and Corvette but have done some GTR's as well. I am the first 370Z they have done so I am like the guinea pig

Gonna be pretty slick looking when I get it all done, just waiting on a few connectors.

Yes uprev is worth every penny, best mod I've done so far. I saw someone say to do it in 4th gear, in the 370Z you want to use 5th gear as it's the 1:1 gear that will provide the most acccurate results. There are some shops that do not want you to go that fast on their dyno so that's understandable. I hit the speed limiter in 5th (153mph) and had to raise it to finish the uprev. Everyone with at least a couple of bolt ons should go get uprev if you really want to unlock the potential of this engine!

I'll probably end up getting it done at Hill's Garage in the fall/winter later this year. You want to do it in 4th gear for the 7AT on the 370Z and I guess 5th gear on the 6MT. Both are the 1:1 gear on the respective transmissions.

I didn't pay attention to what they did mine in. I forgot to ask alot of stuff that I wanted to ask, being first time and all I guess I got caught up in so much other stuff. I remember driving home and I was like, phuck, I forgot to ask that...several times.

Did you get a HFC put on ?

Finished it last night and had plans for right after. At work right now. Have to wait for a Saturday with good weather so it looks like it won't be a while till I get a chance to make a good video.

eastwest2300 03-04-2012 05:02 PM

All right dude, Im looking forward to seeing and hearing it, you might be the deciding factor if I get a set of HFCs or not.

Cristobal09 03-04-2012 06:12 PM

Its LOUD when you throw on HFC's, Jon and Bill's cars both have them when they come to the meets and it makes the exhaust quite a bit noisier.

I think I gotta hear it in person.

Yeah it's definitely a good loud though and definitely not too loud IMO. Every time I hear it I'm like

The sad part is I wanted to hear 370Z with aftermarket exhaust but I haven't heard it in person except for Nismo 370Z with stock exhaust.

Ptuning is doing UpRev for $650 with cable included if anyone need one. :stirthepot:

eastwest2300 03-05-2012 02:37 PM

Dude, I looove my exhaust, it just sounds mean! Like it wants to punch you in the face... I fricken loove it!

where have you been Bill?? Havent seen you in quite a few meets. I didnt even know you had headers.....did you have your hfc's and headers put on at the same time?

VaGntlmn 03-07-2012 09:12 AM

yeah, I agree; it has been too long.
Corporate Merger (paycheck continuation program), shooting, sick, family stuff.

Re: installation Order
no, I had the headers, y-pipe, and cbe all installed at the same time.
A couple of months later, I had the hfc's installed
and a couple of months after that I had the uprev/dynotune done.

Yes, there was a noticable volume change when I put the hfc's on; both inside the car (which I don't like) and outside (which I love).
But if it's part of the 320rwhp equation, I think I'm going to keep them.

I have a set of Unorthodox pulleys (crank and alternator) I need to get put on with a before and after dyno. What dyno you guys have and would it read higher or lower than a dyno dynamics ? Can you shoot me a PM how much that would be

Also, if I had Uprev at Hill's, can that "transfer" around to other places ?

Adam@AAMComp 03-07-2012 10:24 AM

I got them from CZP for the same price shown in thread they have ... I think shipping and everything was a little over 305 for the set .... they are hard to find, at least for me ... I spent about a week looking for the set from other places. Some places don't have the alternator pulley ... and I wanted both.

Hoping for a little HP gain after install

Team I'm done with mods for at least 6-8 months now. Only thing I might get in that time is my roof wrapped with black vinyl.
