Imports vs. Domestics @ MIR 5-6 November
 

Anyone planning on going up this weekend? I plan on going up on Sunday. Weather is supposed to be good both days.

The 16th Annual U.S. famous Import vs. Domestic battle for the World Championship will take place at Maryland International Raceway on Saturday & Sunday, November 5-6, 2011. The World Cup Finals features a custom car show, bikini contest, a huge vendor midway, DJs, live bands, and of course import vs. domestic drag racing! With over 10,000 people in attendance every year the WCF has become a event phenomenon on the east coast!

Oh wow, this looks awesome. I bet its pretty expensive.

I went there a few years ago. Pretty good time, albeit gets a bit chilly at night. 1 day pass is $20, two day pass is $35.

I forgot all about the cruise that weekend. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures. My buddy from college is bringing up his Datsun 510. It's ran low 5's in the 8th mile when I went out to see him over the summer but he hasn't been showing times for his quarter mile runs. It'll be interesting to see what that little car can do.

How did you do?

I did ok. I qualified 21st and ended up getting eliminated by the guy that won our class. He beat me by .071.

Oooh that sucks. One of my friends went there with a chipped 335, but he said he got there too late to race.
