Drag Racing at Capitol Raceway - September 30th
 

So I'm planning on going back to Capitol Raceway on Friday September 30th. Temps should be cooler than so I can hopefully get some better times. Would be great to have some other Z's there running with me. If not, you can just stop by to watch and hang out. I know a couple of you live nearby so no excuses! :p

My friend is bringing his new 6MT M3 there so I want to see how I do against him. His car has an exhaust, but he's never been to a drag strip before so I'm not sure who will do better.

Track is open from 5pm to around 10-11pm and I'm aiming to be there that whole time or at least most of it. I may leave a bit early if it gets too busy. It's $10 to watch and $20 to race. If you have helmets we can borrow it would be really helpful! I can probably borrow one from Brian0128, but we will need more than one depending on how many people plan on racing.

So whose interested?

Yeah, last time I went there was only one 370Z there (Kirk), mostly 350s and G35s

Why does it have to be a Friday night... ugh. Would like to come up there but traffic coming from NoVa is gonna be a pain in the @$$.

in all honesty you may not miss much...last time I was there people were complaining that they couldnt hook up on the track

I dot expect any record setting times at Capitol Raceway, I know its not propped as well as some of the other tracks. Maybe we can do one at MIR in October since its closer for the VA guys, right? Their track is probably better too, but i don't know how crowded it will be. Cecil County dragway is usually pretty empty but is further up north in MD. That's where Brian and I went the first time.

Yeah the private track days Steve and I went to at MIR were pretty nice. Got like 30 passes in and could have definitely run the car more. Nice track and decent prep. Not to mention 80ft above sea level = moar faster :tup:
