I've never had any trouble in that downtown section. Wander a few blocks too far in the wrong direction however and it is a different story.

Downtown street races are lots of fun and extra loud due to all the reflection, this will be a fun one to watch.

The Inner Harbor area is OK. Lots of tourists and stuff around the Aquarium and that section. But you're right, if you walk too far in any direction you are in for a world of hurt. Some of the parking garages 1-3 blocks away are bordering some really sketchy areas and getting back to your car can be dangerous!!!

Downtown isnt that bad. Dont go wandering around though if you dont know the city. Glad I moved out of there. I lived right there and this is gonna really screw up traffic/etc. Would be cool though

Just like any town in America, there are good areas and bad areas. The Inner Harbor/Fells Point is where a lot of great things happen; as you go past some areas then you just have to exercise caution - nothing more that what you would have done else where. I mean if you walk around some bad areas waving your Japanese flag with money spilling out of your touristic duffle bag... chances are you'll get jump. I myself would jump you in that situation as well

I've lived in the area for a long time and actually love all the activities there are. Most of the issues happen during the summer with higher temperatures and in the ghetto. Don't get me started in SouthEast DC, some not so glam areas of Chicago, NY...

Pfft. Baltimore has nothing on PG County! :rofl2:

Remember at the start of this year, PG had 1 reported homicide per day for like the first 3 weeks or something? Sh1t got real for 2011 man. :shakes head:

That graph further confirms how much safer the Baltimore suburbs are. I would have expected worse numbers given the really hot patch we had back in July. 1 death by asphyxiation.
