Earthquake in VA, MD & DC?

Heard that an Earthquake 5.8 hit VA, MD & DC.

I didn't even felt it...

Yup, they are reporting 5.8 or something from Mineral, VA. Felt it here in College Park, office building was shaking lol. Had some friends in NJ and NYC texting me they felt it too.

Damn that's crazy, glad classes haven't started yet. :icon17:

Felt it on Long Island. I was parked while in my Z and though it was the engine having a rough idle. Then I noticed the building in front of me was shaking.

b1adesofcha0s 08-23-2011 01:37 PM

I first thought it was just some crazy equipment running in my plant, since the building I'm in isn't really used anymore. Once it stopped someone told me it was an earthquake. :bowrofl:

Yeah the epicenter was about 10 mins from where my sister, niece and brother in law live. Pretty wild.

Crazy! Are they all ok?

Masa 08-23-2011 02:35 PM

They closed my building to check on the reactor so they sent us all home lol.

They SHOULD have some safe guards in place in case something like this happens. If not, let's hope they learned their lesson.
