Just tell them to place you on the list of cancellations. Just in case somebody cancels and that you are with ZdayZ group. They have certain cabins and rooms set aside for the event but you have to let them know because they don't advertise it. That happens every year.

I am there as well. When I made my reservation, didn't like the location of the single bedroom cabins left so I took a lodge room.

Anyone here like to hike? We did one trail last year but my wife wants to hike a couple next year. She won't go alone since the desk clerk mentioned bears on the trails.

Just got off the phone with Fontana and was told that ZDayZ has not put in the contract yet for next year. Anyone thinking about booking might want to wait since there is usually a discount for ZDayZ.

We were told there were many cabins left to book, the only reason I did not was there is no discount for ZDayZ yet. It would have been 50-60 more a night if I booked today.

Weird. Must be some confusion on their end. Couple of us have been told the cabins are full...which I would find hard to believe.

I felt the same way about the cabins being all booked already. But yea they guy we spoke to said there were plenty left. IDK???

I think I'm going to stay at the lodge next year. Just seems easier and won't have to deal with gigantic spiders or ants again

I read through this whole thread, and thought Damn, I'm definitely gonna go to this thing next year. Then I looked up where it was... 3600km from Edmonton!

Where are the close (within 1000km anyways!) big Z meets? lol

I know of a closer meet, but it's next year. The next Z Con is being held in Phoenix, AZ.

That definitely better, I'm thinking somewhere in Washington or even Vancouver though.. These big events should have cities bid on them, like the olympics! Then maybe some good ones would come to the great white north

ZCON is sponsored by the Z Car Club of America (ZCCA). Their affiliate clubs throughout the states actually "bid" to be the host for each years International Convention. I think 2013 is either in New Hampshire or San Diego, CA depending on who gets the nod.
