I took your advice and called Fontana Village back and talked to Tim. I told him what I was looking for and he said that there was a fireplace room available (next to the Lodge) so I scarfed it . My reservations are all set. Thanks for the suggestion and we'll see everyone there.

Everything is within walking distance. You could probably walk from the Lodge to the farthest cabin in ~10-15 minutes or so.

It's really a nice layout, on the side of a mountain pretty much.
