Reading is for losers
It would be easier for me to focus on my spirited drive with just the nav telling me when I have to turn than to have to look down and read directions. |

You could also read the directions ahead of time and have it mostly memorized, and maybe drive not-so-spirited so you could read if you needed to.

Yeah, I guess. Usually when I do that though, I'm more focused on finding the directions than on the driving which could kind of take some of the fun out of it. I'm not saying that I can't do it, but it would be a lot easier to have it in my nav. Nav also makes it easier to get back on track if you do get lost or make a wrong turn. If I'm just reading directions, then I have to stop and look at a map to figure out where I am and where I'm going. Just annoying and a waste of time.

Not too many years ago when you were going on drives you had nothing but a fold-out map to find your way.

I'm definitely seeing the ups and downs with this. I used to scough at the idea and thought it to be ridiculous in this day and age but man that has to take a lot of headaches out of life...

Yeah as long as you can find someone good, there's nothing wrong with it. It's a little bit different now in the modern age I guess. From what I've seen from older cousins' marriages is that parents on both sides talk first. Then you get some time to get to know each other and see if you're both ok with it and move on from there. It's usually someone that one of your family or friends knows so they can also give you an idea of how the other person is and if you could live with them the rest of your life
