Mid-Atlantic Cruise: Thurmont
 

We're thinking of cruising again. :excited:

This time, we're talking about cruising the mountains north of Frederick, MD. I will be scouting this area Saturday, possibly with the help of Darren and Shahid, to see if it's worth a cruise.

I'll update this thread with date specifics and a specific route.

Here is a link to the general area. I think you'll agree it looks interesting. Bear in mind that it is mountainous, and that doesn't really show if you're just looking at the roads.

if you look by I-68 W (20 miles from hagerstown on I-70) there are some serious mountains there..

I used to live in WV and when moved had driven back and forth a lot ...

You need to cruise over to the Columbia meet I get tired of being the only roadster.

we should do a cruise/event meet like ride out to chuck town and then watch some horse races or go tubing somewhere out there.

Closing this thread because the new cruise route won't be involving Thurmont as much as it will Frederick.
