Hot tint?
 

HI,

Has anyone had experience with hot tint on 16879 Oakmont Ave. in
Gaithersburg?

I am going to get tints from them tomorrow.....
Please let me know if you had had any experience with them or heard about them?

thats the plan... was hoping someone had experience with the shop.

got here 15 minutes late... the work has not started on the Z... he said 20 minutes.. I am being patient for now... if I dont see any movement in 10 more minutes I will prolly want to leave from here...

what do you guys say?

Stuff happens... are they busy working on another vehicle? If so, gives you a chance to watch and see their work. If everything looks good I would try to hang on a bit.

thanks, yea they are working on another car... however its 1 hr after my appt time... and I am getting 2 cars done by them in a row...

ok they are pulling out the one car that was before mine...

He says the Z should take like 40 minutes... is this accurate?

I would stick around Jay. You already made the time commitment to be there and get it done; an extra 20 - 30mn ain't too bad. If anything, it could give you the upper hand as far as money arrangement goes...always looking for the WINNING angle :tup: Pls let us know how it went as far as the tint.

so $ wise they are not going to budge... Z : 159 with lifetime blah blah... against blah blah

a 4 door sedan 179 with the same...

car going in now...

40 minutes or so sounds about right.

Subscribed for later. :tup: Curious to see the quality of work, been thinking about throwing tint on my Z for a while now.

like the quality so far... currently waiting for car#2 to get done... Saw a few spots that I pointed out and the guy took care of it very happily...

He has also offered to do a special for the forums if we can get 10 people to get tints on the same day...

Yeah, I'd like to see pics of their work..

I will be at the Z meet in FF on saturday you are welcome to check it out then...

Lets just say I went with "35%" ;) they did a huge brow that I am not sure about now... dont know if I should take it back to get it cut or removed...

let me know once you see the pic's if you guys think the brow is toooo big..

Are you going to be at the MD meet next Saturday? I could definitely check it out in person then. You have the Platinum Graphite too, right? Always wondered what my car would look like with "35%" tint. I have 35% on mine :icon17:

I might depends if I will be in town and up in time for the meet....

If you DD your car watch out for the little roll down the window does when opening the door it will peel the tint. I got in my car befor tinting shut the door and unhooked my window controls to stop this from happening. Let just say I had to have my windows redone befor finding out. Car looks good can't beat a good tint job to enhance looks.

Thanks I do DD it!! Did you roll down your windows right after getting tints? The shop told me to not roll down the windows for 5-6 days...

Yeah, we could do that.

Yeah buddy, my Z is black, but Im rocking that 20% tint all the way around, I use to tint windows when I was going to Florida State Univ., and my buddy that I use to work with at the tint shop lives up here, he hooked me up for free. I lost my window tinting skills a long time ago.:ugh2:

I don't have 20%, I have "35" % and blades has 35%.... :p so we will have to stick with being color blind

But if we stick with being color blind, then all 370Z's that have window tint and tinted tail lights will be identical :icon17:

Just my personal opinion, 35% is nice, most likely legal around here, Im not sure what the laws are, each state is different. But I had to have 20%, I like for people not to be able to see clearly into my car. Thats just me, though.:tup:
