yep totally forgot to put the patch on this morning and didnt realize it until I got to work. Decided I wasn't going to take the risk this far in and drove back home to put the patch on. Guess I really should have a back up in the car or something like previously suggested. Its really nice not being a slave to smoking anymore but I did freak out a bit when I realized i forgot my patch this morning so now I'm worried that I'm developing a dependancy on the patch. Thinking I'm going to cut weeks 5&6 from step 1 and do 4 weeks of step 2 instead.

I read the whole post, but I read it really quickly and I thought you said you didn't go back home to get it. I guess thats what happens when you post on your phone while eating and watching tv at the same time |

Day 26: still on track, still trying to figure out what to do with myself after dinner in the evenings. That seems to be the most difficult time for me now. I find myself walking around wondering what I am doing and why I feel antsy. Then after a few minutes I realize that oh yeah this is when I normally go outside and smoke. I don't feel a need for a smoke per se just that this has been my routine for past 10 years and it feels weird not going outside. So I usually just end up sitting on the front porch for a few minutes and then go back inside. Think I might make a short walk part of the new after dinner routine now that the weather is nice again.

Sounds like a plan... you need a spare dog to walk? I have an extra...

Tomorrow is the start of week 5, this **** is hard and not fun. I've made the decision to cut weeks 5 & 6 from step 1 and move onto step 2. I'm ready to not have to worry about putting a patch on in the morning and to be really nicotine free.

I recall it takes something like 11-14 days for the nicotine to clear out of the body so after that its all will power! Hang in there. YOU CAN DO IT!
