You may want to try Walmart. Seriously. My understanding is that Walmart has the newest Hunter tire machines that have rim protectors and make it virtually impossible for the tech to scratch your wheel.

I've had tires mounted by Radial Tire and they didn't mess up my wheels, but these were for a Saab with 235/45-17 tires. I've heard some mixed reviews of them otherwise. You could also try Ye Olde Wheel Shop in Elkridge. I know the owner's son and a bunch of people I know have had tires installed there.

Thanks Man! I've also heard of Ye Old Wheel Shop. Thanks for the info!

I looked on Tire Rack. There's a place called Quality Discount Tire in Kensington. Great reviews and they have a touchless machine.

I make sure to curb all my wheels before it's time to replace the tires so I don't need to worry about this touchless nonsense. :D

By the way, if you're looking for an alignment, I highly recommend York Automotive in Mt. Airy. The guys who own the shop are big into racing and I know a lot of people who go there for autocross alignments. They'll do the alignment with you sitting in the car for the correct weight distribution and they'll dial it in to exactly what you want.

I'm going to be there tomorrow to get my KW Variant 1's installed along with corner weighting and alignment.

okay so there's a local shop that will sell me the RE-11's 98Y rated verses tite racks 102Y rated. Is there a big difference?

FuszNissan 03-03-2011 11:56 AM

Yes.

So I was playing with this girl that's a A cup and another that was a D cup, is there a difference.

The load rating on the 102 is 18xx lbs per tire, the 98 is 16xx lbs per tire.

102 supports up to 1,874 pounds......98 supports up to 1,653. 221 pounds more with the 102's. That's the only difference I could find.

Yeah the load rating. I just took another look at the tires on the car and it says 98W

Hummm.... Sounds like 98 will be fine though if that's what I was running.

I remember tire rack had them for ~$300 each when I was looking at them, I guess it was a special sale or something.
