I love it when you go to fill up gas in your car and you find someone hit your rear passenger side "hip"... no note, no idea when it happened. Can't freaking believe it. Naturally the angle of the picture and the grey car color help so you only see where the paint was ripped off and not all the scratches along with it, but it definitely looks a lot worse in real life. Is it that hard to be a decent person and leave a freaking note?!

Anyways and other news, been trying to find a place to powder coat my rims in MD... AAM said they have NO contacts to do it, IAG (subaru people) said they can't do it. Is it really that hard to do it?!

Also, was heading back from the Baltimore farmers market on Sunday. Doing 80 in the left lane of 83N when a cop got on 83. I went down to 65 and moved to the center lane. The cop (25-30yrs old) matched my speed, honked and kept doing a 'point forward motion'. I couldn't tell if he meant "stop looking at me and watch the road" or what, so i just looked straight. He honked again and did it a 2nd time, then floored it and took off... oh, guess he wanted to race/see me take off. First time thats ever happened, thats for sure!

I'm the kind of guy who leaves a note. I just paid a guy 286 bucks to get dent and paint work done on his brand new Nissan Cube that I dinged back in February. For precisely this reason. Had that been my Z, I'd have been fuming.

Sorry to hear that you got dented by a real jackass, rarwz.

Bet if you took off he'd pull right behind you and pulled you over for racing.

Ugh, my Evo got that same spot tagged badly twice. Royally pissed the **** out of me, and I haven't parked at work since.

I'm the guy that takes the notes off other peoples cars so the driver thinks someone is an a'hole for note leaving a note.

Well you were already doing 15 mph over the Speed Limit, good thing he didn't pull you over.

I would continue doing 65 mph and ignore the cop, for sure he was throwing you a bait! You really need to have a Death Wish or have a lot of moneyif you race any cop.

2theextreme 07-20-2010 10:09 AM

Death Wish, you say?

sorry to hear about your scratch dude. I just googled "MD powder coating" and a bunch of places came up but I couldnt say one is better than the other as I've never powder coated anything before.

some penisbreath broke my driver's door mirror on my cavalier. granted, it's a manual mirror, and only took a whopping 33 bucks on ebay to find a new replacement unit, but still....at least leave a damn note.

oh well...there's a big long mark where what was likely a bicycle handlebar hit the mirror housing, which at least lets me believe they may have farked themselves up too.

odds are it was one of the neighborhood punkash kids with little to no parental influence in their lives....or too much MTV influence. *shrug*
