Sonic Run, Easton MD!
 

Gonna be making a run to Sonic in Easton, MD on Wednesday the 7th of July. Those near the Arundel Mills Mall, feel free to meet up with us in the Best Buy parking lot; we'll be taking off around 1900 (7 p.m.)

Yeah I know, it's a Wednesday, and some people can't stay out past 8:00 on a school night. ;) That's the last day I'm on shift, and Thursdays are my wife's only day off (massage therapist).

So if anyone's interested in some Cherry Limeade goodness, or any other awesomeness Sonic offers, feel free to join us.


ETA: Just realized I never even introduced myself here yet. Sheesh...I'm gettin behind. For that, I apologize. :) My name's Mark, and I have an '06 350Z Touring. I've been a co-worker of mightybobo's for about 7 years now; we were both at Offutt AFB together and now we're here in MD.

Riiight...getting those Virginian's out of their cushy little meeting spot may be difficult! I say we alternate...one weekend in VA the next in MD!

I like the idea of an occasional MD get together, with the VA folks invited. ZOLE said something to that effect, too. He's from MD and a pretty chill br0.

Maybe we should scout for a location as nice as that Fairfax Starbucks, somewhere that's nice and relatively non-busy on weekend mornings. Heck, we could even stagger the meets, so that we meet on Sundays (just an idea), so we can still do Saturdays in Fairfax as an option.

Just throwin' some ideas.

ACTUALLy some of us Republicans......oooops, sorry......Virginians :icon17: actually think doing a periodic meet in MD is a great idea -- THAT SAID, middle of the week might be a challenge most of the time, although I do like a good Sonic -- but something like we did last Sat was great and we should probaby do it more frequently -- especially since the MD group numbers seem to be growing....just my $.02....

I believe that sonic run is just a one time deal and it happens to be on a Wednesday because the guy organizing it works Sun-Wed or something.

Yea, that's what it sounded like -- but we're cool for MD meets -- gives us a chance to drive a little and spreads the "pain" a little more evenly...I think this is a discussion that just about every Mid Atlantic Car Club or "gathering" eventually has to grapple with......

Old Ellicott City has some nice mom and pop shops and decent sized parking lots and is close for the majority of the MD z folks I've met so far. Just a suggestion.

I'd be down for the Sonic run if I wasn't already in OC that week on vacation.

I live right down the street from there so I'll 2nd that idea.

Sadly I work on Sundays, so that's why I picked a Wednesday evening. Thursdays I'm off, as is my wife, so staying out late on a Wednesday is no biggie for us. :)

Alternatively, we also do Final Score Trivia thursday evenings at the Irish Channel on highway 3 in Crofton, so if anyone would care to join our team (Slap Bet Commissioners, for you HIMYM fans) you're more than welcome to do so. :D


Although I probably should iterate that we're certainly not trying to set a weekly thing in stone on Wednesday nights or anything, just been jonesin for some sonic goodness and since we've been doing so well with the P90X gig, I figured we could go full glutton for a night. :P

Anything that gets started as a regular deal I'll certainly do my best to make--I'm off Saturdays, although she isn't, so I could probably make it to a gig now and then if Saturday is the day. Sundays would work in the mid- to late afternoons.
