Ahhh missed the meet last night. They have friday night meets every week at the Dulles ChickFilA. They're usually pretty huge, but last night I decided to go downtown annapolis with my girl instead. Had some AWESOME sushi down there. When's the next Gordon Biersch meet?!!?!?!?1

^Yeah thats the one Im talkin about! Someone once before mentioned you guys had a GB meet and I'm pissed I missed it! Someone set it up!! I'm diggin some garlic fries and beer right about now! hahaha
4r3s, No I've never been there before. But I've tried Sushi King in Columbia....that place should be called the sushi queen. It sucked and the waitresses were arseholes. The only cool thing about it is it had the private booths that you sit down into and take your shoes off. I went to Nano Sushi last night in DTA. I had their Dynamite Roll, and it was by far definitely one of the best rolls I've ever had. I've also been to Joss Cafe and Tsunami down there. The last one I wanna try is Ego Sushi. I think that's all of them in Annapolis. Sushi Hana in Towson is freakin BOMB! Real authentic and we blew $200 there one night between me and my buddy and our girlfriends and drinks hahaha but it was AWESOME. I've also heard Aloha Tokyo in Baltimore is really good, and another one called Raw??? I heard Aloha Tokyo is more authentic and really tasty, and Raw is more modern but not necessarily as good. Neither of these I've been to, but I def want to try them out. AND THEN I've also eaten at SEI, in D.C. That was really good too, but also more modern than authentic. They had regular food dishes you could get there, but my favorite part of the meal was my drink...."Liquid Wasabi" which consisted of Wasabi flavored vodka, sake, ginger-infused simple syrup, and lime juice. But it was SOOOO freaking good. It was like spicy and sweet and delicious at the same time. I've also tried a few other places here and there, like Sakura and Fuji Steakhouse, which is decent for the prices, but these are some of the better sushi bars I've been to. As you can tell, I LOVE sushi hahaha |
Have you ever been to Todai in Fair Oaks? $25 for all you can eat sushi... it's pretty damn good too. :D
|
Ohhhh, Red Parrot Asian Bistro is another one. It's in Hanover, MD near Arundel Mills. Meh, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone honestly. Their rolls are decent, but their prices are OUTRAGEOUS. It's way too expensive for what it is. But the only cool thing about it is they have all sorts of Asian food there, ie: Japanses, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, etc..
Also, Otani Japanese Cuisine in Crofton, MD is another decent one. They have reasonable prices, and their rolls are pretty awesome. I still think Sushi Hana is my favorite, and next would probably be Nano Sushi |

I haven't gone out to the Dulles Chick-Fil-A meets in FOREVER. I used to go out when I had my Mustang as there was usually a very nice domestic contingent there. All of the non-ricer Asian crew used to show up to, so it was always a good time... I could mingle with 350 owners without the hate.
When I was younger and didn't know any better I used to go to the BK meets at 28 and 234... that was freakin' ricer central! |

Goddd, are you serious?!

That's when I started going with my friends from the old Crossroads club up to the Dulles meets, which were very nice. Lots of classic muscle cars and very clean cars in general. Everyone was friendly and the import/domestic guys got along and just shot the ****... not each other! I don't know what those meets are like now as I haven't been up there for one of them since 2004, but if they're still good I'll probably have to roll on up there and check it out. |
Yea I went to one of the chikfila meets in dulles before winter, and it was INSANE! Like well over 100 cars at any point. And everyone shows up early and stays late it seems like.

Lucky Woody, he's down at VIR this weekend watching the Rolex Series. I was supposed to go but couldn't get out of work :(

They are sooo quiet compared to the bridgestones. I am pushing them harder as they are breaking in. I have about 50 miles on them and want to get all the factory goodness worn off, but so far so good!

Kevin said he wants to take a look at my rear valence and hopefully adjust it so it fits better. He suggested a new exhaust for me....hahaha....I did inquire about the F.I. just a few days ago. He'll be doing the full detailing on my car including removing all swirl marks. I'll be getting my CF parts in the front protected my clear bra/3M (whichever it is they use). I'll get the lower front installed....I already have the part and he said no charge for the labor. And last but not least.....getting the Cube interior lighting installed! :woot: |

Oh Man, I would go back there JUST for the drinks. They had some others that my girlfriend really liked too. Really unique, and I think they have a good Happy Hour deal if you're ever in that area around 4-7 or whatever it is. Quote:
Wow, Tony thats sick man! You'r going to be at the College Park meet right??? Look for my car in the Revision Auto Salon booth there!!! |

I'll def find ya. |
Its basically park in the order as you come in. The line is going to be LOOOOOOONNNGGGGG depending on what time you come in. If you show up earlyish like around 11 or so, then you can def get a good spot wherever you want.
But basically it's just a GIANT parking lot (parking for the comcast center) and they try to organize the spots by Manufacturer and Model, but it doesn't always end up that way. I would suggest trying to roll in with a few other 370 guys if anyone else plans on going. And yea entrance fee is either one (or more if your feeling generous) canned food item, or $1 per person! |

Yea the 350 guys usually try and meet up and roll in together so they can all park in the same vicinity. Same with the G35 guys and S2000 owners. Mustang owners. Pretty much everyone tries to coordinate.
Check out this thread, maybe you can meet up with the 350 guys if a lot of Z34 owners don't plan on attending or meeting beforehand: 2010 University of Maryland Spring Meet - MY350Z.COM Forums |
