troof!

I gotta look at my schedule. I've got a lot of traveling to do this summer, and a lot of haus work to be done. Next weekend might be good for a golf battle, or at least some time at a driving range. Perhaps after FFX meat?

It can be. 5.0 (with Brembo package) is more neutral with a bias to oversteer. 370Z has a lot of understeer from the factory. A newb would be more likely to spin the 5.0 than the 370.

Must have experience with oversteer if you plan to Steve it.

An understanding of low grip surfaces is also preferred.

We might be able to squeeze something in.

Then we could golf.

I'll have to look around at places available. Remember, I have no idea what I am doing. Never swung a club at a golf ball in my life.

I'll make sure I have the balls and club ready, and then we'll attack the holes together.

That combined with the fact that I bought it during a snow storm got me a really awesome deal on it. Bought it for the exact amount the previous owner got for it on trade in. $26k for certified used touring 7AT with 15k miles. I could get rid of my car now and I'd only lose like ~$6-8k if you include the cost of taxes/tags/etc. If I had bought it new, that number would be more like $15k.
Trust me, ive done my homework when it comes to buying used cars. Ive owned 15 cars in my 14 years of driving lol . I did PPI's on the charger and m3 and they both checked out initially. It was driving them after a thousand miles or so id start having issues. In the m3, the smg transmission started acting up and it started knocking.... at 29000 miles. That was usually a sign of the previous owner taking hard launches. I had that car a year and 3 months before I got so frustrated with it that I traded it for the Z.

The Charger srt8 I owned before the m3, only had 14k on it. The transmission went out on it after 3 weeks (fortunately it was covered under warranty still), the catalytic converter crapped out on me after a few months, and the CEL was on ALL the time. I got rid of that after a year.

I just dont trust buying a used "sports car" anymore. I have an 08 Honda Pilot that I bought used and its been great, but thats cause the owners before it were a family of 3 and it was just a grocery getter and daily driver. Its also a Honda

Not a huge deal. It's quick to establish a basic golf swing. The key to being really good at the game is perfecting all swings for all phases, understanding variables at the course, being in fit shape, and then most importantly retaining the focus to be able to do all of this when it matters.

Why do you have to be fit to golf. You hit a ball and then drive after it in a motorized cart.

I'm with you on this. Just go to the General section of this forum, look at the threads where people are like, "What's an oil change? Should I do it at 15k miles?", or "I hard launch the car when it's cold", or "I did 150 lololol"

People who drive sports cars are more likely to drive them very hard. You aren't going to go to a used car dealer and inspect engine ports. Most likely, you're gonna check the exterior for obvious signs of damage. Maybe if you're frisky, you'll give the underbody a glance.

It's just too risky. I'd rather buy new.

Maybe just bad luck then? The only time I would buy a new car is if the price difference between new and used was very small. This happened with the 2010 Maxima I bought 2 years ago. Went in to look at a used 2009 model for like $22-23k, but ended up buying a new 2010 model for $25k. When I totaled the car in an accident a few months later, I got more back for the car than what I paid for it.

I said you have to be fit to be good at golf. It's about swing consistency and distance. If you are fit, you have greater range of motion and endurance and can more easily replicate a swing for 18 holes. And the pros walk the course.

All that said, I am horrible at golf, but it is fun.

I guess I got lucky. I bought my S2000 that with Honda extended warranty. Owned by a guy in his 60s that had it serviced at one Honda dealership for his whole ownership period. The only problem is he went everywhere with his small dog so I had to remove the seats to clean the dog hair up.
