![]() Until I get some traction... yeah ![]() That's a great time, though. LSD wouldn't really help you all that much more anyways. Since the stock torque converter has a very low RPM stall point you can't launch high enough to where you'd need an LSD to help with traction. A 1.9x 60' on the stock tires is impressive, and without a high-stall torque converter you're not going to do much better with an LSD. This is about the "perfect" run. Cool weather with big power, a quick shifting auto, and a great launch = one of the fastest stock 370 times we've seen to date. Now, the sucky thing is, it's only going to get worse from here unless you start modding. Once the temperatures climb the power is going to drop and you'll be wondering why you can't do any better than a 13.2 ![]() But anyways, be proud. That's awesome.

![]() I probably could get some mods that specifically would help with my 1/4 mile time (better torque converter, 4.08 gears), but I don't think I really want to do that. I'm fine with just bolt-ons and having fun driving through twisty roads. Would a better torque converter allow me to launch at a higher RPM without getting wheel spin? What about better tires (not necessarily drag radials)? Better tires are something I could see myself realistically getting for my car. |

The high-stall torque convertor will allow you to launch at a higher RPM (further up in the power band). You'd likely need stickier tires but this would probably enable you to get your 60' times down to a 1.8x on a street tire and probably stick you deeper into the 12s. ![]() Bottom line is you got your 12 second slip, so you have a 12 second car from here on out. Anything else you do will just make it better all around. ![]()
