Are tinted tail lights legal in Maryland?

I don't think so, technically.

But here's the easy guide to the laws of MD...

(1) Is it fun? If so, it's probably illegal.
(2) Is it mundane and harmless, yet the gov't can make money off of it? If so, it's probably illegal.
(3)Nothing's illegal if you have money or know the right people.

I got mine done recently (and need to get redone next week). The ones that I have are just vinyl overlays, so they are easily removed if you get into any trouble.

Tinted tails are illegal in MD. They are illegal just about everywhere.
