yup camera was off the shelf at a local stereo shop and the dvd player is a plain 'ol Sony that I place in the rear deck behind the seats.

Is the camera and DVD player you installed aftermarket, or the nissan one.....I was told that once the middle glove compartment is installed that it couldn't be replaced by the navigation system.....dealership probably lied to me.
