Yeah, my Stillen lip was starting to sag ever so slightly after a year...and then it shattered into 4 pieces when I lightly touched a parking block. That day I ordered the Ings+1 kit and waited for it for 7 months.
Yup. The manufacturer does private label manufacturing to spec. powertrix's tubes and shock are made to their specs. There will be variations between labels of course. I've met die hard Z guys from San Diego whose been on powertrix since their Z32, Z33, and now Z34. Charles' Z32 still has the original prototype in good condition. I also like that it is rebuildable so this will be the last one that I'll be buying (at least that's the plan). He can do it on site. Just drive the car down to his shop and he'll do it right there.
BC Racing coils aren't bad and a lot of guys in the forum have them. Lots of them are happy with it. Talk to you later.
I met him last May at Palomar Mountain with Randy Rodriguez - the designer of the 370Z. There was a group buy for the c/o and he gave me the gb pricing for the super street coilover set up. No c/o are made in the US now a days. His manufacturing facility is in Korea and does private labels for such companies such as Stance, DriftWorks, KTS, and Buddy Club. You've heard of these set ups and where they are used by guys in the industry. Powertrix tubes are made in this facility while the springs are made in Japan. BC Racing c/o's are made in Taiwan.
Got a great deal from Charles. $1771 installed. C/O, Swift option, hotchkis sways, and set up (height and damping adjustment - this takes forever). He'll be doing the hole and plug set up with a T-bar tool to adjust rear dampers so I do not have to remove panels if I need to adjust.
btw, powertrix has been around for 10 years now. well known in the z32 world. I think this is a best kept secret kind of thing. My buddies from San Diego speak highly of his products and services. I know what they mean when it comes to his service. so far so good. can't wait for Friday.
