I hate to ask this, but how is the OEM mounting bracket different from the Metra Kit, the only difference I saw was it looked like it had slot for a pocket and a single din unit, but I notice you have a double din unit.. which makes me wonder the difference between the 2, am I missing something here?

You have to cut out the single DIN bar for a double DIN install. The Metra kit has snap in side rails that arent in my pictures. If the OEM metal rails dont fit your radio the Metra will. The OEM has a nice clean radius across the top of the piece. The Metra has a couple of symmetrical angles that you can see if you look closely.
