I just got the new shift knob installed yesterday. Man, what an improvement over the OEM in looks and feel. Very happy. I have a Nifty Shifty boot coming soon as well.

It means your combustion (and whole upper end, really) will be slightly cleaner, because you're not tossing oily vapors back into the intake to be re-burned. Improves octane by 0.00001% or something...

Just like any other cup kit, air or hydraulic, they're really only used for clearing obstacles although I drive down the street in mine when I leave in the morning to avoid raising and lowering it...
