Thanks for posting this, the other day I was trying to figure out proper place for my jack stands, glad to know I used the right jack points.

Thanks synolimit, I do appreicate you pointing this out. However, as members' of this forum, we joined to help one another. Next time, please explain how to do something the correct way, instead of only pointing out that it's incorrect. Sincerely

I dont think that is a the correct placement either. I am only going by water the service manual states. I will this was the correct place as it would make my life much easier to raise the front.

In this particular circumstance I agree with Synolimit (even though his comment was not at all helpful). The correct placement would be further outside. You can actually see the notched portion of the pinch rail in the upper left of the photo. That's where it should be, just like in your previous photo.

I've used the pinched area once to install spacers but there just isnt enough metal on the pinch to support the car, it actually bent on me so I opted to move the stands to where Stino placed his, hadn't had any issues as it's very sturdy.

Im just doing it Stino's method as per my posts and pics on forum suggest, cant be asked with risk of bending those pinch rails, they are just for changing tires for the "consumer".
