I've never heard it on the z, that being said I put the magnaflow on my wife's G8-GT. Fit was a bit off, but for the price it was perfect of her car and sounds good.

K&N Drop ins, tubes, motordyne (or DEpointfive0) intake manifold, used Nismo cat back (from a Nismo Z). Block off all the resonators on the intake tract... You'll have a big fat torque curve...

This is not accurate. I installed 15mm H&R with the built-in studs and no issues with them clearing the OEM 19s. But I believe you cannot go narrower than a 15mm spacer if not replacing the studs...
