Got the car back, they did install the part mentioned above, though that part is not a complete harness. They found one or more sections of the harness that had chaffed, worn through the insulation...

My top has had 5 major failures. The wiring harness was replaced. From reading this and many other threads the factory has the wires installed without enough slack causing them to rub on the fram...
