Honestly, it is more that just a tap. I "tapped" mine for 10 minutes and then got angry and beat it like an ugly stepchild and it went ahead and unlocked for me. So, perhaps, try a more "abrasive"...

That is what I thought, I am just looking to do just the halo around the headlight. Thanks for the help everyone. Hopefully I will order the supplies soon and attempt it.

The exact name of the fuse on the box is Steering Lock. It is a 10A red fuse.
