I've been fine and the car is good. A close friend passed away after a long series of health issues. My wife and I did the video, so I was off line for about a week but I'm back.

25k on these tires would be somewhat better than most folks get. If your driving is mostly highway/freeway 25k might be possible but if your driving is mostly in town all of the turning, stopping and parking wears the tires down like erasers. These tires are optimized for high performance summer driving and have a 140 wear rating. Most performance tires carry a rating of about 250-300 and touring tires often rate out at 500+ so 25k would be on the high side. Be thankful you don't have a Vette as their tires typically run 50-100% more than ours.

I do love my sound deadening.

Just wondering how things are.. are you feeling as depressed as I am at the thought of snow and ice soon bringing and end to your Z riding?
On another matter, the car is SO MUCH better now that I have some sound dampening in the doors and hatch..
The guy at the dealership said he thought I would only get about 20-25 thousand miles out of the stock tires..is that true? Damn that means I will have to buy new tires each year.,.,.wait till my wife finds out!!? Can I hide out at your house?

Yes the first guys put dynamat in the rear trunk area..then the next guys put some in the doors and hatch under the glass.. and now I put some extra in the trunk..( I just put some yoga floor mats down..even I could do that!)
I might go for the floors as well.. its much improved and not at all objectionable but as far as road noise goes.,.,the less the better..
I think we better use email as I see its been a while since you posted this and I read it.. i check email every day several times..

I can get sucked in on the "Cabin Noise" issue too but I'm trying to cut down on this addiction.

I am planning on adding sound deadener in the footwells and under the seats in about 30 days. After that there is not much left to be done.

I am still wondering what was done to your car by the first shop, where did they put sound deadening and what did they use. Any ideas?

18K for a cruise!! I thought the two bowls of soup we had the first day in Rome for $36 was bad.but unless the cruise is a month long...that is high.. beyond my pay grade!

Doing OK if you don't count the slab leak in the kitchen, seemed like water was everywhere! I had to gut most of the kitchen base cabinets and remove a bunch of drywall. Actual repairs begin tomorrow.

Our friends went to Italy, Greece, and Turkey a number of years ago. They loved them all but they were nuts about Turkey. They really want us to make the trip, not sure if we will any time soon. Looks like we're doing Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore this year. We did a Baltic cruise in '06 and had a great time. Considered a Danube River cruise for this summer but at 18K it was a bit much on the heels of two new cars in 2010.

I have been doing fine but I was away for the past two weeks in Italy.. What an incredible place!!! If you ever thought of going GO.. beyond my wildest imagination,,.if you like history.. Saw the Colosseum and the ruins of Pompey and the Sisteen chapel, Its incredible to think they build these giant churches and roman temples back so long ago.. I mean they are huge and covered with all kinds of sculpture and paintings...

Several Italians who could not speak english very well recognized me as an American and came up to me saying "Good you kill Osama Bin Ladin...he very bad very bad man!

Got back the other day and got my Z going.. so nice an quiet..and difficult to keep at a reasonable speed...unless you call 100 reasonable!!

    Hows things with you?
