eh, RVP just signed a fat contract making him the 2nd highest paid player on the team, he's going nowhere. I wouldnt doubt that Almunia may go in the deal along with some cash.

omg, i would shit silk if that happened, Buffon still has alot of good years left in him, ship Almunia out, get some money to help pay for the deal, Marijuana Schmack is free, we should have some major funds to buy a world class midfielder and a defender.

oh god if we get timmy howard to suit up in an arsenal kit, i will be the happiest arsenal fan in the world.

well, actually at this point, if we got anybody other than almunia in the net, i will be the happiest arsenal fan in the world. and to his credit, wenger has finally come out and said he needs to open up the pocketbook and buy some good quality players in the summer transfer window. new goalkeep, another centreback, and a quality striker, in that order of importance.

Chamakh hasnt done shyt for Bordeaux this season, if he cant score in france, he certainly wont score in the EPL. Right now our midfield is spread as thin as it can get, Song Gone, Fab Gone, Ramsey gone, Arshavin gone, we should have bought Felipe Melo when he became available, he would have been a direct fit in songs absence, We need another tall/quick forward and at least 2 defenders. I'd say this transfer season we would be good with Chamakh, Melo, and one good strong defender, Hangeland comes to mind. And you're completely right, Almunia has moments of brillance, and then moments of utter fail, just like that last garbage goal today. I think we need Timmy Howard.

supposedly we got chamakh already, but i'm not convinced. i'm all for another striker (given that v. persie is good for half the season only), but i'd rather see wenger fork out gobs of money for another centreback and a goalkeeper who plays all 90 minutes without fluffing every shot that comes in towards goal.

watching this game made me realize one thing, our bench is complete garbage. Our whole original starting 11 is injured, Silvestre is getting a start (vomit), walcott once again disappears for 90 minutes, the absence of Fab/Song/RVP kills the team. Wenger needs to stop being a fuking idiot, relying on young prospects instead of spending the money during the transfer window that Arsenal supposedly has an abundance of. We need established world class players, not 19/20 year old hopefuls.

song, arshavin, gallas, fabregas, v. persie...wow, we've lost half of our starters...

gg, here's to walcott terrorizing barca for 90 minutes straight...and to one HELL of a game if we make it past them.

Yeah, Sol is definitely going to be a liability, although I think he'll match up well with Ibras tall goofy a$$. I think wenger is going to have to change up everyones role to compete, I'm going to assume that with fab and arsha gone, Nasri is going to assume the central attacking mid role with song dropping back to a central defensive mid with Rosicky and Denilson holding down the wings, or even eboue. I'd like to see Theo get the start with Bendtner as the target man, just because we're completely out of options. Wenger should have bought Chamakh during the last transfer window, seems to finish his chances better than ol' Nicky. Not having RVP in the lineup really kicks us in the balls as far as finishing is concerned, ever since his injury, Eduardo hasnt been the same.
