Nope.......just wrapped the empty plugs in plastic to prevent water getting in. I also bought gutter leaf guard at the big box store, (it's steel dipped in plastic, still looks good after years) to dress the empty holes. ( Cut to shape, and Installed from behind the facia with JB Weld. )

If I was still at Elliott. I could get you all the heat tape you wanted.

That is what I did for second piece lol. I used a paint prep product with a nonlint rag. :tup: turned out much better as you can see in the pics. :tup: I appreciate the advice, keep it coming.

I recommend a wipe down using lint-free rags and at least 70% Isopropyl alcohol. After that, wear gloves and coat within 24 hrs. We find that minimizes blemishes caused by oils from hands and dirt.

I was on a job site in a room and the superintendent told us they had a sprinkler pipe bust in there just 2 days earlier. We didn't believe him because there was absolutely no evidence of water...

Nah. He just leaves them wrapped tightly around old stripped conduit cabling to j-boxes.
