A rebuild of the motor would cost $2.5-3K, however you can get a JDM H22 from a 4th gen for about $1k+ shipping. But it isn't just a drop in, you'd have to swap some of the sensors from your motor to the new motor(4th gen = OBDI; 5th = OBDII). Still much cheaper.

Mine is a '97 with about 150,xxx miles but same issues lol oil leaks i want to rebuild mine but havnt decided if its worth the money. it runs strong still just need some tlc! mine is silver base the only base model ive ever seen with leather interior i love it

Haha, The car is taking some down time, actually it's sadly been "down" for several months now. Oil leaks and the such got to me and when I took it off the road to fix, time got away. I've ordered the parts and will hopefully get to it in the coming weeks, also be doing the clutch.
