Yeah, STR doesn't allow a lot for engine / tank mods. The plan at some point is to take the car to ASP. We'll see... probably 2015.

Ok. I am not familiar with STR, but There are provisions to use tanks in Street Prepared such as ASP, which I run in... The catch is u have to maintain 80% of the OEM capacity and it needs to be within a few inches of the stock location.

Hey, thanks for the response. It might be Scca road racing compliant but I'm 100% positive it's not compliant for the class I run in. I race in SCCa Solo STR. There steno allowances to even touch the gas tank.

I have a tank design that is SCCA compliant. I run with a gallon or less (national level courses).... Not trying to make money, but if u r serious about rule compliance and functionality I can help. I just want to get some of my development dollars back. I would authorize a particular weld shop to build my design for you for a small fee. And then their cost to u would probably be less than $1K for the tank. If interested, let me know and I'll talk I through the design so u know its real
