Gears - Volume, Should I stay in a lower gear going by and let it go to higher RPM's or drop gears as I pass to keep volume lower?

I'm wondering about gears... especially with the 7AT... having never done any sort of tracking, I'll be curious to do it. I wish I could get a lap or two on it before they do the run so I know how to set up for it...

You need to fly out here lol

Understood, basically I'm assuming they'll have it setup in the middle of the straight, with plenty of cool down room afterwards, I'll let engine braking and natural deceleration take some of the speed before engaging brakes. Or would you recommend against this?

(Sorry for all the Noobness, but I don't have a teacher here. )

I forgot to reply because you posted it on your OWN page boZo

No, you get 3 full laps I'm assuming. But I won't really pressing hard. Just getting used to being in the car, with a helmet on, at speed, in turns, and only really PUSH it for the straight with the sensor.

Alright, so you arent even going to be doing much more than a single straight, right?

    Ok mods:

    K&N Drop Ins
    COBB Post MAF Tubes
    FI LTH & CBE
    Michelin Pilot SS'

    Stock Pads/lines/fluid/rotors

    K&W V3's on basic setting
    Stock Sways

If you pass the sound check you get a sticker certifying you've completed sound checks and can run on the track when they have events.

Right now, I have the car. I wasn't expecting them to have this event this month so it's a little bit of a surprise.

Unless you're asking in terms of mods? I won't really be pushing the car much except on the straightaway to get the sound check. It's more to learn how to do it, get used to doing it, and pop my track cherry more than a full up track session like you're used to.

So the track next door is getting ready to have an event I wanna join in, and I've narrowed it down to 2 helmets, wanted to get your opinion. The HJC RPS-10, lighter weight, more expensive, or the CL-16, heavier, 1/3d the cost... Thoughts?

Saw you post the trailer for Old Republic. BioWare pretty much has my money for that as soon as it hits shelves, too. It looks hawt. So are you a light side guy, or a big sithy?
