Yeah, not true. You'll run cleaner than you were when you were stock with the exhaust mods, but not cleaner than cats.

Ahh, yeah i can see that being a major factor. All i will say is that if you can justify the extra expense, it will be worth it.

Can't comment on it that well, but i have a friend with a similar WRX, his is louder than my 350 on cold start. I'd say you'll be fine, i leave around 6am and no one has complained...

Japan has amazingly strong emissions controls, FI sends that crazy. They also have strict speed limits and lots of traffic, getting up to speed isn't really something that happens often.

If it's anything like the 350, then it's only like a 1 or 2, and only then when you're at specific low revs under load.Cruising, it's silent and 98% of the time, no problem.

You camera mic is right in the exhaust gas, all you're hearing is distortion :( Move it up or to the side or anywhere else.

That doesn't sound too bad on the camera you're using, but ART pipes will cut down significantly rasp you're having.
