The Red CF/Kevlar was purchased from another member, and I believe made origionally by Carbon Fiber Element (a forum vendor). The in-dash Pioneer x5500bhs was installed by me using metra wiring harnesses, a Metra AXXESS, and a Schoche adapter.

my x5500 is getting delivered today!!! I figure if I can do all the preinstall stuff (like connecting all the harnesses) I should be able to do the install tomorrow night.

There's already a few other threads on this, and they're replacing with a unit that's still prone to failure, so I'd still pull the fuse after they replace it if I were you.
