It was worth a try! You can find a pretty good deal on a low mileage GTS for under $35k if you look around. The thing is you need to have cash ready because the good deals are gone in a day or two.

I have a friend of mine here that had his engine replaced in his 40th for the same problem. It must be pretty common in the 40ths. I went thru all the same **** you are going thru now with my 350z right up until it blew to bits so i feel ya pain man. The beast it running great man but im having all kinds of tranny trouble. Sounds like my tranny is going to fall out everytime i shift. Its clunky and loud man i dunno wtf is going on. I got one being rebuilt now so i can drive my car while we do some experimenting with some nismo race car tranny parts.
Car is stock and boring I ordered the last 2 pieces to put my car completely back to stock. The last piece will he here Monday. Then I'll hopefully take it into Nissan next week to see if I can get the motor warrantied due to oil consumption.
