You could try jacking up the car, acc on, and someone turning the wheel while you look. it not slipping anymore is very good and I hope you used high temp locktite. no slipping means your coupler and connection is good. you could also isolate it by using the grease again but one joint at a time, process of elimination, could be a bushing. check the components on the side that was damaged first. wish you luck, when you find it and fix it you will feel great and you learn which is my favorite part. lmk what happens and good luck
Well if its beat to hell it MUST be replaced, extreme hazard and be very nice to the car. its slipping around, metal & metal, that's y the noise is there. the more you drive it like that, the more damage you will cause so replace ASAP. if "they" do not refund or send a new one right now, just order a her one and send them the old one with a letter inside with your name and number. take pictures and email them, that could work too but you need to order a new coupler now. It is the coupler that is damaged correct? Another thing is, is it the shaft side or the "block" side that's damaged? Whichever side of the coupler Is damaged, you MUST check the component it connects to for damage. if so then that component needs replaced too otherwise you'll end up with the same problem with your new coupler.
I didn't go. It started pouring right before I got off work. It rained all night... Soon though, man. I can't wait. It's been killing me not being able to drag race this thing!
Appreciate the offer. I don't trust the Nissan dealer where I bought my car from after they decided to test drive my boosted G35 without my permission when I was signing the paper work for the Z and totalled my Top Secret front bumper.
My house AC...not the car. The car has had enough problems! Still trying to figure out where my PS fluid is leaking from. I have to fill it every other day.
