Hey KingBusa, I'm sorry I never got the notification for this message! I literally was just looking in my account and came across it. I'm not a pro at soldering so I'll answer the best I can.
It depends on the LEDs you but whether they're drop-ins or have to be positioned in a specific way. I would check with the company you're ordering from.
I do just touch lightly as for you don't want to to accidentally burn the LED. Just be gentle and patient. This is for both removing and applying. It doesn't take much time with the iron on it before it comes loose. I positioned the LED in place then just touched it with the iron and solder real quick. It doesn't need to sit on it for a long time since it's already liquid after you touch the solder to the iron.
I hope this helps!

Can you give me more info on the led solider process ,do the LEDs have a left or right side or front or back,or + or-, or just drop them?do you just touch the iron on each side of the soldier, and apply pressure while doing this to work the led loose?then putting the new ones on do I touch the soldier left on the board and drop the new ones in? Thanks Kingbusa
