So you have grit guards on bottom you take after you put soap on new mitt onto car get **** off then you put dirty one in clean water and rub the mitt on the gritt gaurd?

No you use two buckets, each with a grit guard at the bottom. The grit guard keeps the water below it from swirling so all of the dirt settles at the bottom and doesn't stir back up into the water up top. You use the clean water bucket to rinse your mitt out in before putting it in the soap bucket.

I'm on autotopia for car washing.,.. Do the grit cards you put clean water in one and soap in other and rub the MIT against the gaurd?? What's the clean water bucket for
