I won an ipad mini in a contest at work and have been playing with this idea a lot! Does the kit look as good in person, fairly OEMish?

it looks clean, no joke. The only thing I would recommend is that you find someone with a milling machine to recess the plastic in the cubby. I'll explain. At first, I used magnets and had it mount to a case with magnets on it as well. It worked, but it protruded out significantly. Looked hacked, and so I considered machining the plastic flush to hard mount the case for the Ipad. It was tricky and the webbing inside the plastic gets thin but it works, and it worked very well. One other tip, you will need to get a lightning cable to bed at a slight angle to fit without hitting against the heating duct. This i did by breaking off the plastic from the end of the lightning cable and heated it up to make a bend. It worked very well.
