Do you have a CEL? If not then there is most likely nothing wrong with the crank position sensor. Also some history (conditions when problem started, any recent maintenance, etc.) might help.

Most common cause of loss of CC is the brake or clutch pedal switch. AFAIK, the CPS has nothing to do with CC. Diagnostics, adjustment procedures, wiring diagrams, &c are in the FSM.

Here is a drawing of the two switches that I threw together when my clutch pedal switch staring failing...the upper one is the one for the cruise control, the other is for the clutch pedal to start...

-At 1st or 2nd gear, I can hear a clicking sound in the rear. And when I put the car in park or stopping at an intersection. This might be worn CV shafts my old Z did the same thing.

Noises are very subjective which is why I state it may be just normal. Some people think a small tiny noise from somewhere in the chassis as the engine just blew and chase themselves around checking...

What Jhill said. You might try not pressing the pedal so far when you go to pass - ease into it. The clicking in the rear may be a rear wheel bearing. Not all that common but certainly not...
